Detour (1945)
Stars Tom Neal, Ann Savage, with Claudia Drake. Because:1) It's in black & white, which is a plus in this arena. 2) Has a lame recurring theme song that begs to be mocked 3) Plot twists are contrived and described laughably by the hard-bitten narrator. As the SOL crew once said about "Tormented", it tries way too hard to be film noir. Can't find a link - I have it on DVD- but I'm sure there's one out there.

This movie is in the pubic domain, so that’s good. It’s also a well regarded noir but I’ve yet to figure out why. The accidental death in the movie occurs when a man who is sleeping in a car, is yelled at, shook, rained upon all without waking and then falls out of the car and hits a rock thus, killing him... this is but one of the many mysteries of this film which also includes right hand drive cars for some reason and a drummer who never strikes the drum heads with the sticks.

This is too respected a movie to be riffed easily.

Lol- I have been trying forever to remember the name of Tormented! (We always call it "Tom Stewart killed me!") Too bad you don't have a link- your choice sounds pretty cool!
