This should happen if only for The Battle of the Five Plotholes. It's one long stupid joke. Thorin Oakenshield goes completely out of his mind for no good reason, the elves can basically fly, there's a cross-dressing hairy man, and the lazy eagles conveniently show up at the end again, but this time they are air-dropping bears. Frodo's lucky he got carried away from Mount Doom instead of being crushed by ursine delivery at the end of LOTR.
