War of the Gargantuas (1966)
I'm surprised this has not been suggested to RiffTrax. Especially since they used to riff a lot of Japanese monster films back during the MST3K Days.
As the title spells it out, two creatures called gargantuas decide to duke it out in Tokyo, Japan (man, I bet the city insurance premiums are astronomical). But throughout the film it's not the monsters, or bad acting, which has made this film so infamous.
Instead it's the scene where a female sings the song 'The Words Get Stuck In My Throat,' at a rooftop night club.
Everytime I watch this scene, especially after one of the garantuas appears and eats her, I want to say. 'Okay, baby, it's time YOU get stuck in MY throat..'
I think this would be an excellent film to riff just on that alone.
So whaddya think, sirs?

Recently saw this on Svengoolie. Was thinking this be perfect for MST3K or Rifftrax!

This is a classic Japanese film that is made in 1966, is just loaded with riffs. It has an well know American actor Russ Tamblyn as the main character, but there are many parts in the movie that would be ideal riffs. One scene has the American Actress, singer and model Kipp Hamilton, who was also the sister in law of Carol Burnett, singing "The Words Get Stuck In My Throat" when the rogue gargantua appears over the rooftop where she is singing and tries to have her for dinner, literally. Another scene where the rogue gargantua spits out the clothes of his latest snack. The entire movie is full of riff ready to be watched by thousands.

The inclusion of actor Russ Tamblyn guarantees lots of wildly inappropriate West Side Story / Twin Peaks references.

I remember seeing this movie as a kid on WOR-Channel 9 in NY and it scared the bejesus out of me. When I watched it again as an adult, I kept asking myself "this need riffing". It's a sequel to another Toho film "Frankenstein vs. Barugon", but since they couldn't get the actor who played the giant Frankenstein back, they came up with the brilliant idea to make two monster-clones and have them cause the usual mayhem of kaiju in Tokyo.
