They must make a RiffTrax of this one. I once saw the Nostalgia Critic review of and the film made no f*cking sense whatsoever. For example, Sean Connery's character wants money. It would make sense if he weren't already a f*cking millionaire. I guess he wants to buy the planet Jupiter or something. Seriously, we need a RiffTrax of this piece of sh*t, pronto.

As much as I liked the Avengers TV Series, the film actually tends to go WAAAY over the top in this one. Ralph Feinnes and Uma Thurman play John Steed and Emma Peel in this version. Basically the tale is a bit convoluted with Sean Connery as the heavy in this one. The story commences when Ms. Peel is framed by a look-a-like for stealing a valuable artefact (or kidnapping someone, I forget which). Anyway the trail takes them to the mysterious Sir August De Wynter to rule the world through his weather machine.
The reason RiffTrax needs to riff this one is the fact whereas The Avengers TV series was known for its bizarre mysteries acquiring the attention of Steed and Peel, the film tries ultimately too hard with the nonsense and it makes the entire thing hard to follow, even for the veteran Avengers fan of the British series. And the fact Sean Connery is hilarious as the villain of the piece rather than the hero or supporting agent.
Ironically the original Steed (Patrick Macnee) stars in this one as well. Except like his part in Super Force, he's more heard than seen, probably because when he read the script he didn't want his image marred by this version. Who knows? Anyway, this one is definitely worth riffing, even possibly reserved for a future RiffTrax Live.
