I heard the director set this movie in Italy because he always wanted to go there. And, isn't the story kinda like an evil Clifford the Big Red Dog? Maybe?

This has got everything, it even has Hedda Hopper's kid! Well, the movie didn't have Hedda Hopper's kid, Hedda Hopper did, but you know what I mean. This movie is the actual launching point of 3 great sci-fi movie sfx industries: Alien, Jurassic Park, and Ray Harryhausen.
