Please Riff this movie. It has all those 80s tropes about rich white guys and the poor but cool little guys and the whole whoops we went to space thing.

Also, Joaquin Phoenix is a bit on fire these days. He must have been about 12 years old when filming this. This being his first film he's acted in.

Lea Thompson, Cate Capshaw, Henry Thomas. The 80s were pretty good to them; this movie was not. I saw it in the theater and it wasn't as horrible as I had expected, but still not very good. Incidentally, I found the movie poster for this in my collection last weekend.
