Zombie (1979)
RiffTrax does not have enough zombie films under their belt. And no, old Bella Lugosi films do not count. So lets change that with Zombie (1979). Not to be confused with George A. Romero's classic, Dawn of the Dead, which was also called Zombie in Italy and released the year before. Coincidence?
Back before zombies were mainstream, there was Lucio Fulci. Defiantly not the greatest director in the world. But who doesn't enjoy a good splatter fest, eh? Anyways, his definitive zombie film (Zombie, or Zombie 2, guess they had trouble counting) still holds up to 90% of zombie movies made today. Though that's not saying much.
Zombie (1979) is about, blah, blah, blah zombies. Blah, blah, blah tropical island. Blah, blah, blah guy meets girl, over zombies. Blah, blah, blah the two go hunting for answers about girl's father and zombies. Blah, blah, blah the guy and girl find another guy and girl, just because a couple more bodies were needed. Blah, blah, blah zombie battles shark. Blah, blah, blah the group finds the zombies and instantly they regret everything. Blah, blah, blah more zombies. Blah, blah, blah did I mention there's a zombie fighting a shark, under water? It's so freaking cool! Blah, blah, blah heroes make an epic last stand. Blah, blah, blah the end.
Warning, this film is not for the squeamish. Though some of the f/x are dated, some of them still stand up well. Beware the eye splinter scene!

Rifftrax can issue their own branded barf bags with each digital download? Just asking.
