The 1987 version clumsily excised the ickier parts in favor of being just plain weird and melodramatic. It's camp as hell and only rated PG-13. If Bridget and Mary Jo riff it that can count as my Christmas AND birthday presents for the rest of my life!

Um this isn't the kind of movie you want to watch a riff of you guys- they could have poisonings, child abuse and incest, Mikey, incest- ( just if you don't know, the previous was a Goonies reference) but also "My eyes!!! My eyes!!!! Yeah, kids locked in an attic while they're systematically killed off - also there's the incest- fun back story - I got caught reading this in 5th grade and was grounded from reading fiction for two months Lol
