COMMUNION is a movie about alien abduction, written and directed by aliens. (Or, at least, by people so out-of-touch with how human beings actually act and feel that they might as well be aliens.) It needs Riffing.

the only reason they might not riff this is because the unintentional humor stands on its own ...and hardly lets up; I laughed alone in the dark for about 2/3 of this things run time (and I usually have/need a partner and more inebriants for this kind of fare). The writing and acting waver between unusual, good-luck-with-what-youve-got and terrible. The aliens are AWESOME: there are insectoids that like to prove their flood lights are brighter than yours, OG grays made from masks purchased at the Halloween Store propped onto a stick that sometimes poke around closets and voyeurs the doings of their buds -the critters from "Critters" stuffed into a mix of Ewok and Jawa outfits- who are really casual about sliding a thick ***** attached to a hose up Whitley Steiber/Christopher Walken's spread butt (there's really an overhead shot with walken spread out like he were in stirrups taking one for team humanity/alien curiosity while the aliens, in that moment, are implied to be reading his mind). There's also a surprising amount of dancing, a cantina bar scene (also with dancing) and a real focus on butt play (yet more dancing!) alien ****.
