Featuring the directorial talents of Francis Ford Coppola, this horror film set in a small town has everything, from the ever expanding waistline of Val Kilmer(who also does impressions!), Bruce Dern as an ultra crotchety sheriff who seems to enjoy referring to himself in the third person, and Edgar Allen Poe for some reason! Apparently based on a dream Coppola had once, this film makes about as much sense as one! Oh and also.... vampires!
From Val Kilmer's greasy ponytailed swollen ham face to the best green screen effects the local community college could scrape up. This reminds me of Twin Peaks if Twin Peaks was directed by a goth Jayden Smith.
I give Twixt a very confused yet deserved 4 Nicholas Cages. ****
