I dream about that car, I love that car more than the Back to the Future De Lorean or any of the Bat Mobiles. I'd love to see the Riff take on the scene where she yells at the car like it just made an inappropriate pass at her in a diner. The car was emoting!

The Car (1977) is one of my all time favorite guilty pleasures. I actually saw it in a theater in 77. I’m sure this film would have gone on to greater glory if some other movie named Star Wars hadn’t stolen all its thunder.
I’m actually surprised this film didn’t get the treatment back in the MST3K days. So rev up your engines and stick this up that evil tailpipe. VROOM! VROOM!

It's the 1977 movie. Called The Car. Bout a big black demonic car that kills folks.
There was recently a direct to video sequel made, so it's slightly more relevant now. -

Fanboy Flick has just released a great review on this one. 6.2 seems like a too-high of an IMDb average rating for this lemon of a haunted car film.

This was soooo hard to find until i came across it at a convention in the mid 90s. Had no idea how laughably corny it is

Oh yes, this would be a good riff. Plenty of pauses in dialogue.

The first part of this movie before anything "scary" happens is some of the most insipid crap I have ever seen. I rolled in it like a dog.

Yes, riff this one. The only good thing about this movie was Kim Richards. The damn thing looks like it was written by the anti-Automobile lobby of the 1970's.

The Car is a 1977 thriller film directed by Elliot Silverstein and written by Michael Butler, Dennis Shryack and Lane Slate. The film stars James Brolin, Kathleen Lloyd, John Marley, and Ronny Cox, and tells the story of a mysterious car which goes on a murderous rampage, terrorizing the residents of a small town.
The film was panned by critics, citing poor dialogue and acting. The film received an 18% approval rating from Rotten Tomatoes. Chicago Tribune film critic Gene Siskel gave the film one star and his headline referred to this film as, "The Cinematic Turkey of 1977."[1] The film is listed in Golden Raspberry Award founder John Wilson's book The Official Razzie Movie Guide as one of the The 100 Most Enjoyably Bad Movies Ever Made.[2] A version of the car appears as one of many famous movie monsters in The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror XXIV" opening credits created by noted horror director Guillermo del Toro.[3] In the season two episode of Futurama "The Honking" Bender is transformed into a demonic automobile resembling The Car after being run over by a werecar resembling Christine.
Just wanted to post a few more details about this film from Wiki..got my three votes for it.
