Tremors would be a great movie for your 2017 Kickstarter (assuming it's coming soon). "Popular", commerical film that most of the audience will have seen in their younger days ala Starship Troopers.

Desert dwelling, man-eating worms... what's not to love. Looks like a TV director found a bunch of off the clock TV actors and hauled them to the desert with a bunch of dynamite (to make worm trails) and a film crew. I've seen it uncountable times on TV, but that was long ago. Would really love to see it Riffed...and then eaten by worms.
