Curse 2: The Bite
This particular piece of Hollywood fool's gold is the sequel to Wil Wheaton/Claude Akins' The Curse, and while the audience is spared from seeing Wil Wheaton in tighty-whities, it does give the audience a scene with Jamie Farr in bed with a female trucker post-tryst. (And I use the term 'female' loosely.)
It follows a couple taking a road trip through the Southwest, where a local nuclear accident has men in white Hazmat suits (or beekeepers--it's hard to tell) bagging the local snake population for fear of a possible Spiderman scenario.
When a snake hitches a ride in the couple's Jeep after they stop to take some pictures--despite having driven over a sea of snakes a few minutes earlier--and shoot a rattler with a rifle that was made to hunt elephant, the resulting bite the boyfriend/husband receives gives him incredible superpowers and turns him into Snake-man!
Except he doesn't get a cool costume.
And he doesn't get to fight with Iron Man.
And his only superpower is his left arm eventually mutating into a giant, slimy python, which he proceeds to shove down people's throats every chance he gets.
But hey, no Wil Wheaton in tightie-whities! That's gotta count for something!
Anyway, if you want to see Jamie Farr try to act brave, or Sheriff Bo Svenson try to act, or you just want to watch snakes explode like they swallowed a short-fused M80, then this is the film for you!
And remember: if you find yourself driving on a lonely road with your girl in the desert, and you see thousands of snakes laying across the road in front of you, stomp that gas pedal to the floor and don't stop until you reach the Atlantic.
