Yes, this actually happens. I know that it's considered a "comedy" and that you guys don't riff them often. But take comfort... it's actually not funny. It's honestly just WEIRD. Not to mention that the whole idea to bust the thieves this way is asinine, especially when they're forced to actually RE-SELL the stolen goods they've recovered (using department money) to keep the pawn shop sting going because they begin to enjoy hanging out with the criminals! I can't even explain it properly. You all just gotta see it.
