These old etiquette films are unintentionally hilarious and fascinating at the same time. Watching it now, you can’t help but laugh, but it also shows how much social expectations shape behavior. Humans learn “romance” from whatever culture hands them at the time. Compared to today’s dating world, apps, ghosting, endless choices, it feels almost quaint.
