MEAD
MEAD (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6032364/) with Patton Oswalt, Robert Picardo and a bunch of ... other people, in a movie about, still not really sure. It's another one of these garage green screen specials with stunningly bad After Effects.
Oswalt was clearly smart enough to do this gig from a sound booth, but surprisingly Picardo showed up on "set". Guess those Voyager residuals aren't all that.
The best part for me is when the MEAD "ship", which is some kind of humpback horror baby mixed with the complexion of the hybrid alien from Alien Resurrection, has to dock with a space station. It docks using its "mouth" which is a sight straight out of Human Centipede.
I am impressed that the director/writer and the other writer didn't also end up starring in it. So it's not exactly a Saber Raine type deal. But the director was also the VFX guy and.. that shows.
Everything about this movie is riffable. 1) The "plot" is an absolute mess. 2) The acting is straight out of an elementary school play. And the 3) the visuals are laughably terrible, just random 3D models pulled out of Blender.
