William Devane, Lauren Hutton, John Ratzenberger, and Klaus Kinski doing the best he can with the improv idea of being the time traveling lovechild of Skynet and Hilter (I think only metaphorically, but who knows what deleted scenes there might be on the cutting room floor). I mean we seriously devote a huge chunk of the movie to talking about, getting to, and talking with a guy about his delusions of the importance of preserving old cowboy songs for their cryptic history lessons. Except in the exact, and extremely unique scenario presented in the movie, when is this going to be helpful?
