a 1982 American teen *** comedy film directed by Robert J. Rosenthal and co-written with Bruce Rubin. The film stars Scott Baio as a high school student who acquires telekinetic powers. it also stars Willie Aames known for eight is enough and charles in charge and dungeons and dragons the animated series. during the mid 90s until early 2000s he played bibleman a direct to video christian kids show. he allegedly retired in 2004 to spend time with his family. as of today, he has recently starred in more than 4 hallmark movies also he was celebrity fit club: boot camp. also very interesting there was a sequel.

Definitely worth riffing. It has aged very poorly as well, since it definitely subscribed to the Revenge of the Nerds line of thought in a lot of ways.
