It’s about a whale that takes revenge on people. It was shot in Newfoundland, has Richard Harris, and is also Bo Derek’s first movie. It’s Birdemic level bad.

Yes yes yes! This movie almost frightened me as a preteen. It is, in theory, more frightening than Jaws because the bad guy i a super-intelligent homicidal marine mammal, kinda like Hannibal Lecter with flukes. So this villain is actually stalking his prey almost convincingly the way the shark in Jaws III did to the Brodys, only more competent.

I saw this at the drive-in, summer of '77. It's really not a Jaws rip-off any more than Piranha is; the monster has a motive in this one. It's also acted and filmed much, much better than Birdemic! That said, it would be nice to see RiffTrax do it. It's hardly a good movie.
