Battle Beyond The Stars
This Star Wars ripoff is begging for it! Any time you have Robert Vaughan, George Peppard and a spaceship with breasts in the same Corman film, you have riffing magic

1980 science fiction movie starring Richard (John Boy Walton) Thomas. It has all of the components needed to be made funny.

Was supposed to be riffed live in 2020, as announced in 2019 (to my great joy). It was dropped from the list for the Kickstarter, so I assume licencing fell through. Truly a masterpiece, including a boob/ ****** ship and the best line from The Seven Samurai that was never in The Seven Samurai, "... a meal and a place to hide."

Ryan Hollist: I've done it several times before.
Copy and paste both or more links into a message to the Contact Support link from the option box to the right of this thread. Ask them to merge both threads (and they'll combine the vote total, keep the older thread and delete the newer one(s).
Eric (if I remember correctly) does the job in a friendly , timely fashion.

It looks like this got a couple listings in the requests. Is there a way to merge them?

Absolutely...and it was James Cameron's big break. That ought to be worth some riffing in itself.
Not just a Star Wars rip off, but a reimagining of Seven Samurai. -

How have you missed this steaming pile of Star Wars cheese platter ripoff? It’s even got a score by James Horner and James Cameron did some of the special effects and camera work. I smell a RiffTrax Live Kickstarter project here!

Right up there with YOR. - Decent production values, silly costumes, great music, lousy editing ... I'd love to see this riffed.

Please, please riff John Boy in space opera!!!!

I'm sure you get suggestions all the time (I'm still waiting for Flash Gordon), but I stumbled on to this movie on Amazon Prime and realized I hadn't seen it since it was out originally. The John Boy references alone should be hilarious. Or not. Mole jokes? Even if you remove those two avenues, having a spaceship with breasts can't be ignored.
And...go.
Thanks,
Jason

No one's mentioned that the ship has tits. Just to reiterate, the ship has TITS.

George Peppard: Damnation Alley, The A-team, and this? Oh yeah let's see if we can ride the wave of fame caused by Star Wars. only let's add more cheese. but let's make it imitation cheese: like spray cheese in a can. That's much of the script writing for this movie imitation cheese.

One night, 2 producers sit alone in a dark room.
"I know, lets make a movie that's really a remake of a remake...",
"Go on"
"...but this remake, is set in the future..."
"and?"
"...and we fill it full of cheap sets, corny dialogue, and some of the actors from the original remake who will regret their part in it for all time!"
"Wow!"
"...and here's the kicker... we will use lots of cheesy effects and repetitive music which will be used endlessly in B-Movies for years to come!!!"
"GREEN LIGHT THAT MOVIE!"
