Burning Bright (2010)
John is an evil stepfather who wants to kill his stepdaughter Kelly and stepson Tom for the insurance money. How does he go about this? Poison their cereal? Push them off a cliff? Take them on a "fishing trip?" No, he chooses the oldest trick in the book: Wait for a hurricane so that you have an excuse to seal the doors and windows and phone service will be down, buy a tiger under pretenses of starting a "Safari Ranch" using Kelly's bank account so she can't go off to college or send the autistic Tom to a care center, sneak the tiger into the house, waiting overnight for the tiger to kill them, and killing the tiger. IT'S ALMOST TOO EASY.
Highlights include Meat Loaf as the animal wrangler John buys the tiger from ("This cat is not scary. He's evil."), and autistic Tom constantly wandering into the tiger's vicinity and forcing Kelly to risk her life saving him, because being autistic means he can't understand that the massive beast with razor-sharp teeth and claws is dangerous.
