Robowar (1988)
Another Reb Brown film that the rifftrax crew should do. Storyline
A clone/mix of PREDATOR and ROBOCOP gone nuts jungle flick with an international cast, exotic locale and good electronic music.

Really good B-movie cast in this one:
Reb Brown ("Space Mutiny" + "Yor: Hunter from the Future")
Catherine Hickman ("Knight Rider" + "Capitol" + "One Life to Live")
Romano Puppo ("Escape 2000" + "The Last Shark") -

Just flat out bizarre and so eighties. So riff worthy it's rivaled only by Cats and Supervan IMHO as to pure comedic potential.
The Polonia Brothers strike yet again with Robowar (1988). A short feature, just barely over an hour, opens with a Star Wars like intro that goes on for minutes! Bizarre characters - check. Crappy FX - check. Incomprehensible plot line - double check! It's like a HS production done by folks on weed. Totally riffworthy and wacked out on many, many levels.

Watched this last night. The last time I saw an eighties movie so committed to eightying as hard as this movie eighties was Miami Connection. And yet another Reb Brown movie where a dead character briefly comes back to life thanks to a glorious continuity error. If my wife and I can get some good riffs in, I can't imagine what professional comedy professionals can do with this one.

Hey there Tim - I need to ask - what made you want to seek out and watch Robowar? I'm intrigued to understand how this became a cult hit!

I was scrolling quickly when I saw this... it went so fast, I saw it and thought it said "Robar." Like, a robot with a crowbar. So, it's Robowar... still cheesy, but that's better. :) BTW, I voted, too! :)

It's like Predator.... if directed and edited by Helen Keller..j/k
Non P.C. joke aside (sorry in advance), it's essentially just a bad 1980's mockbuster, of a now classic movie, fit for plenty of riffing. Here's the original movie, on Youtube:
