The dad from Mary Poppins tells his daughter about creatures that clean up after people. She runs into them and invites them to a party. The party saves the Wombles homes and food stores from being destroyed.
People who grew up with the movie describe it as the best thing ever. Everyone else says its sluggish and hamfisted filled with random musical numbers that interrupt the story. It also has a white brit pretending to be Japanese.

This is the perfect level of disturbing, funny, crazy and even has an annoying sidekick (the girl) as well as some casual racist tropes that are cringe worthy of today that would make a perfect rifftrax.
