Just another film about a typically abnormally confident, world-weary 16 year old female protagonist named Clary who discovers that she's a Shadowhunter. This a fancy term for being a Nephilim, which are half angel and half human beings who are very stuck up, have tattoos, and wear black leather. Anyway, she has her eyes set on Tom Petty uhh Jace (who looks a lot like one of the effeminate members of the Volturi). Meanwhile she overlooks her friendzoned friend Simon's awkward advances all while they try to fight this evil Shadowhunter Valentine who's planning a mass genocide against Downworlders (vampires, warlocks, and werewolves) and also he might be her dad? Did i mention Jace might be her brother? Awkward
