Criminally Insane (aka Crazy Fat Ethel)
weird cult classic always make for good riff and this 1975 low budget slasher film is no different
the film is about a mentally ill morbidly obese woman named Ethel who's allow to leave the mental asylum and live with her grandmother, when her grandma try's to get Ethel to lose some weight, Ethel kills her and this starts her path of killing anyone who gets in the way of her and food.
This was cult director, Nick Millard's first film to get any recognition and shows his talent of bad editing, poor screenwriting and not knowing the word "subtlety".
the two main reasons for it cult status, Ethel is played by Priscilla Alden, Alden who acted mostly in the films that Nick Millard directed (although she did have some minor rolls in other films and acted in theatre productions), her Ethel character made her a cult icon of low budget horror. then there's Detective McDonough played by b-movie legend, George "Buck" Flower, do i need to say more about him?. both give a surprisingly good performances despite hilariously bad dialog and direction there given.
in the end, its weird movie thats is vary easy to riff on
