Katy Caterpillar (1984)
You've seen the mind fucks Mexico produces with live-action movies for kids, but here's their attempt at an animated feature. Katy is a caterpillar bored with her dull life, so the disembodied voice of Mother Nature sends her on a journey of self-discovery. Along her way she meets many strange creatures, few of which contribute anything to the plot aside from heavy-handed, half-assed morals. Highlights include a gang of racist chameleons, a big-boobed spider who talks like Mae West, and liberal use of Katy's catch phrase, "Whippity-pow!"

I'm not sure if you've heard, but this also got a sequel that has her children going through something similar, with the addition of an alien invasion.
