Musical Mutiny (1970)

A bunch of teens are told by a ghostly pirate about a "mutiny" that's taking place at a now-defunct amusement park. They are all let in for free to see Iron Butterfly perform a concert, but the park manager gets angry and kicks them off the stage after two songs because his park is not making any money. Finally, after local bands start playing songs, Iron Butterfly is let back on stage to perform their 17 minute saga, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" coupled with psychedelic images and a lack of visual pyrotechnics.
Filmed at Pirate's World in Dania, Florida and directed by Barry Mahon, the same director and location where the "Thumbelina" and "Jack and the Beanstalk" segments of "Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny" were shot, "Musical Mutiny" is a perfect time capsule of the hippie movement of the late 60s/early 70s and is definitely worthy of a riff.

I'd love to see this. Heck yeah. Anything Barry Mahon to torture Mike, Bill and Kevin is very fun watching. Their pain is our hilarious cult classic.
