Your Editing of my Movie Request Was Stupid
I am really disgusted that when I recommended movie, "Screamers" to be riffed, based upon Philip K. **** story, "Second Variety", and I typed his name in the request, you eliminated "*" from the request when you posted it. You do know that this was his last name, right? He was one of the most well known science-fiction authors of the 20th century. Ever seen "Blade Runner", "Total Recall" or "Man in the High Castle"? Do you know who wrote those two novels and story or did you just assume they came from the desk of some Hollywood screenwriter? They were from Philip K. *'s work: Blade Runner - Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?; Total Recall - We Can Remember It for You Wholesale; and Man in the High Castle - Man in the High Castle! I gather that you've never read anything he ever wrote or heard of him. Do a little research; please allow his last name, "****", to be typed without being edited out. This is so stupid. You edited out this man's name because it looks like a four-letter word? Unbelievable.

Yup, sorry, this wasn't us. It's possible UserVoice saw the word and flagged it. We'll ask UserVoice to tweak this setting.

Isn’t it possible to override the filter in specific posts?
Reminds me of nanny ware preventing searching for ****** when one researches ****** cancer. Of course, that was at a high school. -

This is a common problem with "blacklist" language filters. It's nothing personal, it's just an imperfect filter.

I'm just a fan but I'm also a web developer, I seriously doubt anyone edited your post, the most likely scenario is that the forum did it automatically as do most forums with language filters. The computer sees a word, not a last name.
