  1. Podcast Interview Request

I love all the riffing. I was wondering if Mr. Mike Nelson would like to come on my podcast and discuss his latest projects.

    Thanks,
    Dave

  2. Sergeant York

OK, I'm watching MST Attack of the the Eye creatures...and Crow(Trace) makes a reference to Gary Cooper wanting some "bottom land" from Sgt York..oh, my...that is a wonderful movie, rife with anachronisms that would lend themselves to riffing (ala Casablanca)... theres Drunken brawling, olde tyme religion, war and peace...SO much material for riffing and many people haven;t seen it I'm sure even though it's a total classic!

  5. BALLAD OF THE BIG ONES (1969) - Truck Song, but about the ********* Clydesdales

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ab7rvuiIwi0

This short has three sections that literally sing the praises of the Clydesdales that pull the beer carts and two sections where a narrator talks over film of horses walking around.

The song is performed so forcefully and passionately you'd think they were singing about eight wild west folk heroes from Scottland.

The "BALLAD OF THE BIG ONES" is now available as a 33 1/3.

  7. Delta Force Commando with Fred Williamson

This "film" is an Italian production and anything from Italy is worth a Riff. Delta Force Commando is a hot mess. I beg you, I urge you, I implore you to riff this immense pile of poo. DFC is just begging for it. I first saw it in 87 or '88 on HBO at 2 A.M. It was just me, a friend, and a case of beer, and DFC. What memories.

  8. The Strangeness (1985)

People trapped in a mine are killed one by one by a stop-motion monster that unintentionally looks like a vagina! And no I'm not joking!

  9. The Beach Girls and the Monster (1965)

Real life movie star from the 1940's and 1950's Jon Hall, does double duty as both director and star of this beach movie massacre. The monster shows up right away, and is so cheap looking that if there was supposed to be even a hint of horror or mystery in this film, it gets completely eliminated when the creature makes it's acting debut. The Roger Corman touch would have been a vast improvement. This movie tries to be scary (not a chance), it tries to be funny (not even a little bit), it tries to be hip with bottom of…

  13. Ogon Bat (Golden Bat)

The first Japanese superhero. The Golden Bat predates even Batman and Superman. Toei brought The Golden Bat to the big screen in 1966 with the film starring Sonny Chiba!

  14. The Warrior and The Sorceress

You think Sorceress and Sword and the Sorcerer were out of this world "lengend-ry", think of Yojimbo, but starring a sword-wielding David Carridine with a protagonist name that sounds like one of his other well known tv characters, set on a faraway planet where nudity knows no boundaries...

  16. A Hazard of Hearts (1987)

Wonderfully bad 1980s movie with a famous cast (Diana Rigg, Helena Bonham Carter, Christopher Plummer etc.) who drown in an unbelievably crappy/entertaining plot. It has it all - cheesy dialogue, boom mics visible, members of the cast laughing to camera mid scene - all dressed up as an opulent period drama with distinctly unfeminist views. Walk away from this film safe in the knowledge that all a woman really needs to be fulfilled is a rich man who wins her as a prize in a bet placed by her own Dad!

  18. Wonder woman with the lasso of truth wrapped around a guy.

He's surrounded by beautiful women The lasso forces anyone to tell the truth. "Why are you you here?!" He then goes into detail about how he'd like to plow the women but there are kiddies about. The women realize this and are suddenly struggling to untie the lasso but it's double-knotted and Tom, Mike Nelson, and Crow are frantically trying to untie the lasso vocally and freaking out at the same time because the kids can hear what the guy is saying. Get the kids out of here but the door is locked!! LOL! This is meant for the movie…
