   This movie is not my cup of tea.

   Linkara, comic reviewer and sometimes planet-saver, is restless and uneasy. It’s his birthday and he’s beginning to wonder what he’s doing with his life when half the time he’s critiquing crossover comics and the other half getting beaten up by robots. Things aren’t made any easier when Allen, Linkara’s government liaison, informs him that they’ve lost contact with the Caelestis, an independent space flight out to Jupiter. They’d like him to go and investigate (since naturally because Linkara reviews comic books, he owns a space ship). However, what he finds out there may spell the end for Linkara, 90s Kid, Harvey Finevoice, Allen, and the others who accompany them on this trip.

4. My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Legend of Everfree

   The students of Canterlot High School attend a field trip to Camp Everfree, a nature camp owned by Gloriosa Daisy and her brother, Timber Spruce. During the bus ride, transfer student Twilight Sparkle has a nightmare of being overtaken by "Midnight Sparkle", a malevolent alter ego of herself produced while temporarily corrupted with magic from the alternate world of Equestria. Her friend Sunset Shimmer is supportive, relating through her own similar experience with transforming into a demon. Shortly upon arrival at the camp, Twilight develops telekinetic powers, which she worries is a sign of Midnight Sparkle's lingering presence.

   That night, Timber shares a campfire story that tells of Gaea Everfree,[N 1] a forest spirit, being angered by the camp's construction and threatening to unleash a plague of natural disasters upon it; the story also mentions a trail of glittering gem dust Gaea would leave in her wake. The next day, a sailboat mysteriously crashes into a dock the campers are building to use as a fashion show runway. The terrified campers spot a trail of gem dust in the water, convincing them that Gaea is real. Later, amidst an apparent earthquake and another sighting of gem dust, Twilight's friends begin developing their own unique supernatural abilities – Rainbow Dash gains super speed, Applejack gains super strength, Rarity creates diamond-like force fields, Pinkie Pie controls explosive sprinkles, and Fluttershy communicates with animals – which they find they can only use within the camp's boundaries. Twilight believes herself to be responsible for these magical occurrences, and she prepares to run away from camp. Sunset follows Twilight into the woods and, discovering her own power of telepathic empathy, convinces her to stay.

   As Timber leads them out of the forest, Sunset notices gem dust falling from his pocket and suspects him of staging Gaea's attacks. She later overhears him arguing with Gloriosa to abandon what Sunset assumes to be the camp, surmising from his longing for urban life that he means to shut the camp down by terrorizing the campers. Sunset brings Twilight and Spike with her to investigate a nearby cave kept off-limits by Timber, where they find a deposit of geodes infused with Equestrian magic. The three are confronted by Gloriosa, who reveals herself to be the true cause of the magical incidents. Sunset learns through her visions that Gloriosa, desperate to prevent businessman Filthy Rich from foreclosing the camp, has been wearing the geodes as a necklace to harness their magic in attempts at improving the campers' experience; Timber, disapproving of her reckless actions, invented the story of Gaea Everfree to cover for her.

   Gloriosa adds more geodes to the necklace and is corrupted by their power, taking on an appearance resembling Gaea. She traps Twilight, Sunset and Spike in the cave, and then enshrouds the camp in brambles. The three escape and regroup with their friends, who use their powers to defend the other campers. Twilight embraces her own magic with encouragement from the other girls and, after nearly transforming into Midnight Sparkle, frees Gloriosa from the necklace's influence by splitting it apart. The pieces turn into different pendants for the girls, who gain new magical forms and restore the camp. Still faced with the camp's foreclosure, the girls realize that the geodes are the source of their new powers, and use them to organize a fundraiser ball that is held within the cave. Their plan is a success, attracting a large crowd of former campers and saving the camp. Sunset wonders about the source of the cave's magic as, unbeknownst to the campers, magic energy seeps through a crack above the portal to Equestria.

   In a post-credits scene, the next day, the girls finally restore the dock, but Pinkie's sprinkles accidentally detonate and destroy it, leaving the girls and Spike in shock.

5. My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Friendship Games

   The students of Canterlot High School prepare for the Friendship Games, an academic and sporting competition regularly held between their school's team, the Wondercolts, and the undefeated Shadowbolts from Crystal Prep Academy. Sunset Shimmer, who has been observing her friends' magical ability to "pony up" (grow pony-like ears, tails, and wings) whenever they play musical instruments, becomes concerned when Rainbow Dash transforms during a pep rally, seemingly at random. Tasked with finding the cause of this development, Sunset attempts to contact Twilight Sparkle in Equestria for advice, but receives no response.

   Meanwhile, Crystal Prep is attended by the counterpart of Twilight, a school outcast who has been investigating the magical activity surrounding Canterlot High. Twilight builds a locket-like device with which to detect and contain the magic for further study, hoping this will secure her application for Everton, a coveted independent study program. However, Abacus Cinch, her school principal, threatens to revoke the application so as to blackmail Twilight into participating in the Friendship Games and maintain Crystal Prep's victory record.

   Upon Twilight's arrival at Canterlot High, her device detects Sunset and her friends' magic and leads Twilight to them; as she approaches, the device inadvertently drains Rarity's magic when she "ponies up" after making uniforms for her friends. Sunset, initially mistaking Twilight for her pony counterpart, quickly realizes the misunderstanding and considers consulting the pony Twilight in person. When Crystal Prep's Twilight follows her to the portal to Equestria, the device absorbs its magic and deactivates it. The device similarly affects Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy when they attempt to befriend Twilight during the games, briefly tearing open dimensional rifts to Equestria as a result each time.

   Following Twilight's victory in the games' academic decathlon, the games continue with a "tricross relay", a relay race between archery, speed skating and motocross. Applejack transforms after advising a struggling Twilight in her stage of the race, causing the device to steal Applejack's magic and create a rift that temporarily brings monstrous plants through. Rainbow Dash "ponies up" to save the other competitors before losing her own magic, allowing Canterlot High to win the event to tie with Crystal Prep, but causing Cinch to accuse Canterlot High of cheating due to their perceived advantage through magic.

   Before the final event, Cinch and the Shadowbolts pressure Twilight into releasing the accumulated magic within her device to harness it against the Wondercolts. The magic instead corrupts Twilight, turning her into a winged and horned monster,[N 1] and she proceeds to obsessively open more rifts that threaten to destroy the parallel world. As the Wondercolts and Shadowbolts work together to save their classmates, Sunset notices her friends' magical auras and realizes that their magic manifests when they exhibit the same traits as the Elements of Harmony. Gathering their magic with the device, Sunset assumes an angelic form[N 2] with an appearance of Twilight's new Father and closes the rifts. She and Colter then help Twilight regain her senses alongside Spike, Twilight's dog, returning her to normal.

   Both schools, including the repentant Shadowbolts, accost Cinch for manipulating Twilight. Refusing to relent, Cinch threatens to report the incident to the school board. When taunted that no one would believe her account of the magical incidents, however, she concedes to a tie that is celebrated by both teams. Twilight, reconsidering her Everton application, realizes she is happier at Canterlot High and transfers there, where Sunset and the other students welcome her as a new friend.

   In a pre-credits scene, the Twilight from Equestria emerges from the reactivated portal with the counterparts of her friends gathered around it. She apologizes for her absence, explaining that she has just escaped from a time travel loop, before gawking at the sight of her own counterpart.

6. My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Rainbow Rocks

   In the human world parallel to Equestria, a reformed Sunset Shimmer is ostracized by most of Canterlot High School despite her efforts to atone for her past bullying. Her only friends are the counterparts of Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity, who have formed a rock band called "the Rainbooms" to participate in the school's upcoming musical showcase. The five girls discover that the magic left over from Princess Twilight Sparkle's crown has given them the ability to grow pony-like ears, tails, and wings whenever they play their instruments.

   Hoping to make a fresh impression, Sunset gives a school tour to three new students – Adagio Dazzle, Sonata Dusk and Aria Blaze – and informs them of the showcase, unaware that they possess magical singing voices. Calling themselves "the Dazzlings", the trio perform a song that turns the other students aggressive and competitive towards each other, convincing them to turn the friendly showcase into a Battle of the Bands. Sunset and her friends are protected from the song by their own magic, but fail to convince the bewitched Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna of the danger. Sunset remembers a book that magically copies whatever she writes into another kept by Princess Celestia, her former mentor in Equestria, which she uses to send a message requesting Twilight's help.

   Princess Celestia's book is delivered to Twilight's castle in Ponyville. Receiving Sunset's message, Twilight deduces that the Dazzlings are banished sirens from Equestria that feed on negative emotions to fuel their singing powers for their goal of world conquest. Twilight uses the book's magic to reactivate the portal between worlds, allowing her and Spike to return to the parallel world. Twilight and the girls attempt to use the magic of their friendship to lift the Dazzlings' spell, but it takes no effect. Concluding that they must perform a musical counter-spell, the girls enter the Battle of the Bands to give Twilight time to complete the spell, though her poor songwriting proves fruitless. The Rainbooms face hostility and sabotage from the bewitched bands throughout the competition, which raises existing tensions among Twilight's friends over certain aspects of their band.

   Desperate for time in the semifinal round against Trixie's band, Rainbow Dash performs an egotistical song to substitute the counter-spell and nearly transforms, which forces Sunset to ruin her performance to keep her from exposing their plan to the Dazzlings. Despite this, the Dazzlings intervene to allow the Rainbooms' advancement to the final round, goading a jealous Trixie into trapping the Rainbooms beneath the stage to take their place. Isolated for hours, Twilight's friends finally snap and enter a heated argument, allowing the Dazzlings to absorb their magic. Sunset, realizing that their constant infighting is interfering with Twilight's spell, convinces the girls to resolve their differences, while Twilight reasons that simply playing together as friends will make the counter-spell work.

   Spike rescues the girls with assistance from DJ Pon-3, a student whose headphone music protects her from the Dazzlings' spell. DJ Pon-3 provides a sound system that the Rainbooms use to engage the Dazzlings in a musical battle. Overwhelmed by the Dazzlings' projected siren forms, the Rainbooms are joined by Sunset, who assumes her own pony-like form; with her help, the Rainbooms are able to destroy the pendants that provide the Dazzlings with their singing abilities, rendering the trio tone-deaf. Returning to its harmonious state, the school drives the powerless Dazzlings away and praises the Rainbooms. Twilight and Spike return to Equestria, while Sunset finds acceptance from the rest of the school and uses Princess Celestia's book to remain in contact with Twilight.

   In a post-credits scene, the alternative world's counterpart of Twilight studies the outflux of magical activity around Canterlot High School.

   This is an early 1980s supernatural teen romance starring a young Sarah Jessica Parker and her annoying singing voice. SJP's character, Lori, is upset that her mother is remarrying a few years after her father's death. She witnesses a plane crash and speaks with one of the two survivors, a young and handsome (I mean, by early 80s standards, I guess) man named Terry. Soon, Lori learns that Terry actually died in the crash, but that's ok, because his ghost keeps following her around spouting off inspirational crap to help her cope with her father's death. Along the way, they sing sappy songs that will make you cry tears of awkwardness, play hilarious(ly annoying) tricks on one another, and say incomprehensible lines like, "You'd look awfully funny walking around with an invisible shoulder."

   Fat and alive Gary Coleman's younger twin brother (idk how that works, either) costars as captain of the friendzone team.
