1. Military Police: Town Patrol (1955)

   The 28-minute short shows two MPs as they patrol Agusta, Georgia. And it looks like someone spliced scenes from an entertaining-enough police procedural to make a dull educational film.

   The MPs instruct one soldier on bus routes and pay close attention to try and spot soldier's shoes. But in between all that they come across a soldier who was beaten up and mugged.

   In fact, the line "You better call the station and get an ambulance" is spoken with much less severity and gravity than the following dressing down of a poorly dressed soldier. "Okay, now you look like a soldier, you weren't doing yourself or the army any favors looking like that".

   In fact, the film spends roughly the same amount of time around buses and bus stops as it does showing the MP's tracking down a soldier who's gone AWOL, attacked a blind man, and has started robbing art supply stores.

7. Encounters in the Deep

   From director Tonino Ricci, the assistant director on “Superargo and the Faceless Giants,” comes “Encounters in the Deep.”

   In the late 1970s, an engaged man and woman disappear while cruising through the Bermuda Triangle with a racist’s Platonic ideal of a man of African descent. The father of the woman wants a definitive answer to the fate of his daughter and her fiancé, so he embarks on an expedition with a motley crew (which includes Alan, trusty crewmember from Black Whale III) to bring some semblance of closure to his life. Along the way, the gang discovers plenty of stock underwater footage; a fantastic song that is almost on par with ‘Dead Robot’ from “Swamp of the Ravens;” dubbing, really, really bad dubbing; and “aliens,” which is a moniker that should be used very lightly here.

   Spoiler alert: only the mustachioed, alcoholic septuagenarian and his German shepherd that can project stock audio wolf howls survive.

   Why should this get the RiffTrax treatment?
   1) The first 5 minutes of the film are narrated by someone that suspiciously sounds like Ned Blandford hopped up on goofballs.

   2) It stars Andres Garcia, aka Alan(!) from "The Bermuda Triangle."

   3) It passes the Bechdel Test.

   Warning: unibrows abound.

9. Black Dahla

   It has a few Oscar winners and a big budget. Why wouldn’t a movie about a true 1940’s dismemberment murder of a struggling actress in Los Angeles not score? Well, try a horrible script-unbelievably inept acting-scenes that went nowhere and otherscenes on the screen for no reason and the most implausible climax since a 14yr old’s first time!

    This educational/indoctrination short is a blend of lectures and old advertisements that lays it on thick

    Advertising is equated with: more money for government services thru taxes, the development of new cake mixes, a means to keep Kruschev from burying us, and a way for married men to stare at women so they can feel better about loveless marriages.

    Last but not least, if you don't support advertising than a little kid with cerebral palsy will never be able to walk normally. Do you want that on your conscious?!?

    The Stone Tape is a television play directed by Peter Sasdy and starring Michael Bryant, Jane Asher, Michael Bates and Iain Cuthbertson. It was broadcast on BBC Two as a Christmas ghost story in 1972. Combining aspects of science fiction and horror, the story concerns a team of scientists who move into their new research facility, a renovated Victorian mansion that has a reputation for being haunted. The team investigate the phenomena, trying to determine if the stones of the building are acting as a recording medium for past events (the "stone tape" of the play's title). However, their investigations serve only to unleash a darker, more malevolent force.

16. Turkish Star Trek

    Ahem. I will now quote Seanbaby, who found t his tragically so bad it's funny movie back before 2006 when he wrote for The Wave Magazine.

    "By now, you’ve hopefully heard of Turkey’s proud history of stealing American films and remaking them with no money and their own unique set of production values. When they remade Superman, Superman became a homemade doll dangling on string in front of a black and white TV, and when they remade Star Wars, Luke Skywalker fought an army of Cookie Monsters on a field of trampolines. And even if you do speak Turkish, their remakes of films are confusing madness, but invariably end up being twice as entertaining as the original.

    Turkish Star Trek continues this cinematic tradition. In Turkey it’s called Turist Omer Uzay Yolunda, which probably translates literally to “Tragic Mistake.” "

    In the original Star Trek, Captain Kirk was all that is man. He’d tear his shirt off and fight a lizard monster from a space couch covered in green alien sluts. In Turkish Star Trek, reverse all of that. The movie starts with Kaptan Kirk practically prancing over to his chair to sit down cross-legged and daintily lisp out orders. He and the Turkish Uhura discuss something, which reminds me that I should let you know that the movie hasn’t been subtitled and I’ve never even heard of anyone who’s ever heard of anyone who speaks Turkish. However, judging by the way Kaptan Kirk is sitting, he and Uhura are discussing the useful applications of not having a penis."

19. Leprechaun 2 and or 3

    These movies are simply ripe for the riffing. In doing so myself, as I watched them, I can only ponder the priceless riff ride reserved for the rifftrax crew. I predict they would prove to be some, or one, of the favorites of fans and a best seller for the many nostalgic fans of the corny leprechaun franchise. Parts 2 and 3 are particularly terrible and more fitting for a good ol' fashion riffing compared to the first movie. There seems to be riff gold lying in wait in every line and sequence of cinema. From the stupid victim syndrome of horror movies to the atrocious acting, there are constant openings for riffing righteousness. My hopes are high for these, thanks
