  1. Dark Shadows (2012)

Johnny Depp and Tim Burton teamed up to adapt the TV series that inspired their careers. The original series was captivating in the BEST and WORST senses of the word. The wild imagination in the ongoing storytelling was amazing. The production value and bloopers (it was live-to-tape and aired daily after all) made it 'enjoyable' on a completely different level. Somehow, while attempting to embrace the kitsch, Burton and Depp managed to make a product that caused more second-hand blushing than the original series.

  6. Crime Zone

A"Zone" movie from 1989 starring David Carradine as the bad guy who wants to stop things from happening- it has all the future apocolyptic gritty weirdness of "City Limits", a Human League video and "Bladerunner" but no pesky mechanical gun hand to distract you from the crime! There is a hunk hero, suspense, car chases, awkward sexuality, lots of inexplicable use of the f-word, and maybe the girl from Roxette? I'm surprised you guys haven't done this yet- This is one movie that really ought to be in the Rifftrax wheel house- or the "zone"

High school student Sam Collins is the head of a band called Team Samurai. During a recording session, Sam is zapped by a power surge and disappears only to reappear seconds later with a strange device attached to his wrist (which is at the time unremovable). Later after his friends Amp, Sydney, and Tanker leave, one of his video game programs dubbed Servo is subject to a power surge and zaps Sam again. This time, the zap pulls him into the digital world and turns him into his creation. As Servo, he roams the digital world and fights monsters called…

  8. RiffTrax, please riff "Parents" (1989) with Randy Quaid

1989's Parents is actually a pretty good movie, and Randy Quaid's performance as the Father is one of his best serous roles, but I think the RiffTrax crew could make some great riff's about his performance. The movie is actually directed by veteran actor Bob Balaban. I think that would be something to contiually bring up during the riffing. Thanx.

  9. Salo - 120 days of sodom

Because it is such a well-renowned and beautifully classic example of international cinematic art,
Because it is SOOO fuckin' objectionable, in-yo-face, grotesque and unapologetic,
and Because, you MST-ies would probably never even consider riffing a Pasolini

  13. Subliminal Seduction (aka The Corporation) TV Movie (1996)

Before Sharknado 3... before Sharknado 2... hell, even before the concept of Sharknado was once considered as a fight between Jaws and The Tazmanian Devil, Ian Zierling was in this bizarre TV-Movie which was a failed pilot that never really caught on.

Basically the plot deals with Ian as Darrin Danver (no, seriously), who is (surprise, surprise) NOT a surfer, nor does he deal with sharks... well, okay, perhaps CORPORATE sharks, but they don't fly round in a vortex attacking people (sorry about that Bill and Kevin).

Instead, in the wake of 90s 'evil mind-controlling corporation' films, this is a…

  14. Fun with Mr. Future

Hosted by a decapitated robotic head, this obscure Disney short was produced to give viewers an idea on what the future could have been like. Well, they were half-right. But, the weirdly animated segments and constant shots of Mr. Future only make me ponder just what time constraint the people behind this short were under.

  15. Kung Fury (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bS5P_LAqiVg)

The movie itself is utterly hilarious and relatively short. This actually was shown at the Cannes Film Festival! Acting is horribly stiff, the entire 1980s feel gives it the proper level of "cheese", and there is just SO much to riff on!

Please do Saw 2. I would gladly purchase the track three times over. I would do it even for the original because it's even worse, four time over.
