  1. The Hunter (1980)

This painfully predictable action movie was Steve McQueen's last. What overdone 70s and 80s action conventions are in there?

Let's see... A tough bounty hunter who is a total alcoholic jackass and has no character, just quirks like horrible driving, his wife we all know is going to get kidnapped and makes justifiable demands the film passes off as annoying nagging, and the one dimensional crazy psycho.

On top of that, the film is glacially paced. Only Levar Burton and the late great Eli Wallach save it, though not by much.

  2. Lords Of The Deep

A Roger Corman producted bargain basement "Abyss". As exquisitely horrid as Birdemic but with fewer excuses. Bradford Dillman gorges himself on scenery as the rest of the cast boldly avoids looking directly into the camera. This film must have ended a lot of careers but you won't feel a twinge of guilt about it - whoever green lighted this should be fed to wild boars. Or sharks. Or fire ants.

  3. Master Ninja the complete series

Hi Guys I was hoping you would want to finish the master ninja series. It was a tv show in 1982 they made 11 episodes before the series tanked. I've watched all 11 episodes and I think it would be a cult hit if you finished the series. Basically the master and max continue to search for the masters daughter but they never find her. They just travel around the states fighting crime! its the lamest kungfu tv series ever! Please complete the rest of the series!

    Cheers

    Mark

  4. Jaws of Satan

I have to stop listening to other people because I almost lived a life with no JAWS OF SATAN in it. A cursory scan of other folk’s reactions to the film had me wrongly assuming it was just another bad movie. You know the drill, “Some movies are so bad they’re good, not this one! This one is so bad, it’s just bad.” First of all, I’ll be the judge of that and second of all, wrong. JAWS OF SATAN is not just another bad movie; it is a perfect amalgamation of everything that makes movies not good. I also…

  6. Jail Bait

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOFb30P32uc Ed Wood's attempt at crime noir from 1954. FIlm noir the Ed Wood Way. Co-stars Timothy Farrell of "Racket Girls" fame. Features the same faux flamenco thrashing, spastic piano-banging soundtrack as "Mesa Of Lost Women".

  7. Marooned

An MST3K classic - Gene Hackman - Gene Hackman (applause) just for the scene when Richard Crenna blows off the Russian who is trying to help him and Gene Hackman (applause) floating off into space.

  8. Courier of Death

Ok, this little known movie is a gem of schlock, a diamond in the rough. A porn director's first attempt at "mainstream" cinema. Read the comment on this movie for a colorful history.

  10. Highlander: The Source

Highlander: the source was the final nail in the coffin of the highlander series. It takes everything about the first movie that was decent and proceeds to take a two and a half hour long dump on it. They remade the great queen song from the first terribly!

  11. Dementia 13 (1963)

Future Oscar winning director Francis Ford Coppola wrote and directed this this classic chiller.

A scheming young woman who inadvertently caused her husband's death, attempts to have herself written into her rich mother-in-law's will. She visits her late husband's family in Ireland, but an axe-wielding maniac interrupts her plans.

  12. Down And Out In Beverly Hills

This is my second Nick Nolte recommendation because again he's mentioned in almost every riff, it's time to take him on at his Noltiest. Here it's 80s Nolte playing a homeless guy who moves in with Richard Dreyfuss's family, and has delightful moments like literally having sex with the entire family, eating dog food, eating garbage and a whole assortment of other activities that is everything you'd expect from the Nolte. Come on please Mike, Bill, and Kevin with your powers combined Nick Nolte will face the Rippening.

  13. Silverado

At the start one of the main characters almost gets his nuts shot off and that is far from the only part worth comment, In town in his underwear.. Sorry I can't do images having it on VHS.

The cast of the movie has so many greats doing amazingly good at their roles they are begging for commentary.

Then there are long stretches of music setting tone when it might be hard to find a joke but there are allot of things done just so fitting to the reality of the setting it could still be played with. Including biased…

  14. RiffTrax, please riff ISIS Recruitment videos

Have you seen these things? They're awesome! Guys crawling up walls with knives in their teeth like pirates, running in and out of doorways. Mismatched gear.

It's basically the keystone cops for our modern age. Please riff them!

John Cusack yelling at (and getting the crap kicked out of him by) an empty room. Horror at its finest!

  16. The Monster of Piedras Blancas

This is the pinnacle of bad B-monster costumes. It has "the body of Gill-man, the claws of a Mole Person and the tootsies of This Island Earth’s Mutant."

    How can we go wrong?

  17. The Rocketeer

Long before they owned Marvel or made "The Incredibles," Disney tried to bring a fairly unknown comic book character to the silver screen with "The Rocketeer."

Set in 1938 Los Angeles, a hot shot pilot named Cliff Secord (I'm not kidding) and his mechanic buddy Peavy (not the stereo system) find a prototype rocket pack. Once they reveal that they have it, they start being chased by FBI, Mobsters, and even Nazis.

Disney tried very hard to make it work but in the end it fell very short of the source material. Watching it reminded me of the old Captain…

  18. Cyberjack (1995)

Haven't I seen you somewhere before? You're, you're Skip right, you're Howard's assistant up in cybernetics. Ech... Nick. Down in janitorial.

    Michael Dudikoff, 'nuff said.

  19. Focus

This movie is trying very very hard to be cool, however it fails miserably with its story about two, supposedly, loveable con artists who fall for each other... or do they? (Yes they do!) Perfect rifftrax fodder.

  20. The Town and the Telephone

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7N8vqyO7pc

This one is a little long (26 minutes) and might not work for you, but I would like to see even more short films riffed (another one I just watched that is telephone related that I liked was Dialing Tips - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8M9_tCbW4Y), and YouTube has a wealth of great ones. The above came from Ella's Archives at:

    https://www.youtube.com/user/Ella73TV2/videos

    There is also:

    https://www.youtube.com/user/shaggylocks
    https://www.youtube.com/user/OldTVTime/videos
    https://www.youtube.com/user/keyanage/videos

I love the fact that these shorts are easily digestible and cheap. I own most of the ones currently for sale from RiffTrax and watch them over and over, I'd love something new to…
