  5. Holiday From Rules

TCM recently ran "One Got Fat" in the wee hours and I taped it because my kids love your version. After it, they ran a short called "Holiday From Rules" from the mid to late 50s (based on hair & clothing; I didn't notice a copyright date).

Four kids complain about living with rules and they're sent to an island of cardboard stand-up mountains complete with animated shark-infested waters. It descends into Lord of the Rings with fighting over games, shells, and food. One boy breaks his arm and, even though he broke it fetching a coconut, he doesn't get…

  7. Frankenstein's Daughter (1958)

Dr. Frankenstein's insane grandson attempts to create horrible monsters in modern day L.A.
Directed by low budget director Richard E. Cunha, who also directed such movie classics as, "Missile to the Moon", and "She Demons."
If the riffers could resurrect this movie from the dead, we might all be able to shout in excited glee: It's...Alive! It's...Alive! It's...Alive!

  8. Creature from the Haunted Sea/Monster from the Ocean Floor/Beast from the Haunted Cave

Are you riffers boycotting Roger Corman? As much as I enjoy Corman's early monster movies, I know that they would be a riffers dream in capable hands. Let's see you boys take on Mr. Corman, I DARE YOU!

  9. Sherlock Holmes and the Deadly Necklace (1962)

The ingredients for a good movie were all here. Christopher Lee as Holmes, Thorley Walters as Dr Watson and director Terence Fisher who did a superb version of "The Hound Of The Baskervilles" in 1959 was brought in to direct. Some consider the latter to be the best ever Sherlock Holmes film. It was certainly a strong contender for this and it was one of Hammer's finest hours, but alas, this low budget German production was a disaster from the word go. The storyline wasn't worthy of Conan Doyle and the music score which varies between jazz and pop robbed…

  10. How to Succeed with Brunettes

An overly tacky do's and don'ts video, produced by the Navy, mixing dates and business (no, not like prostitution). The picture quality is really good, for some reason, unlike most old shorts. There's some great riffable moments, but in general it flows well enough to keep people watching in case you guys crap out on some quality riffing..haha..j/k Take a gander.

  11. She Demons (1958)

Heroic, but dull, Fred Maklin and beautiful, but spoiled, Jerrie Turner wash up on an uncharted tropical island. They are soon captured by ex-Nazi Colonel Osler, who also has imprisoned a bevy of beauty contest winners whom he allows to be whipped by his slavering Nazi storm troopers. He has, you see, been extracting some glandular substance from the girls to inject into his wife Mona, who suffered terrible facial disfigurement, in efforts to restore her beauty. Things get worse as the island is used for test bombing by the US Air Force. Written by Doug Sederberg
    Directed by low…

  14. Military Etiquette and Grooming For Women in the Army

This looks like it would be a perfect choice for Bridget and Mary Jo. It's the sort of film that's amusing enough in its dated look and slang all by itself, and adding riffs would only help that.

  15. The Bride and the Beast (1958)

When Laura and Dan get married, she's more interested in Dan's gorilla. It's revealed through hypnosis that she was Queen of the Gorillas in a previous incarnation.
Ed Wood didn't direct this movie, but he wrote it. This little known movie is so bad it's........really awful bad.
Hey! Anyone can riff a good movie.

  17. Merlin: The Return

Tia Carrere is a scientist who finds Mordred and Morgana where Rik Mayall's Merlin had entrapped them in another dimension. Patrick Bergin's Arthur and Adrian Paul's Lancelot must save the day. It's so bad.
