"This Is Coffee" - An instructional short about how you're making coffee wrong.
An alternate title for this short could be "Go to Hell French Press"
At first, this 12 minute short celebrates the diverse styles of coffee and the many ways to enjoy it.
But then it insists that there's only the one Coffee Brewing Institute approved method to make a cup of coffee using one of three types of coffee pots. Anything else doesn't count as coffee.

Caught Mapping.
1940s movie about Cartography by Chevrolet. A "Jam Handy" production. I kid you not. That's the last slide.
8 and one half minutes of too-fast animation, terrible road conditions, watching people drive around in 1940s Batman's car all to make maps that only have a passing connection to reality.
Also, you can find it in its entirety here: https://www.planetizen.com/node/57278

Adventures of Captain Marvel (1941)
I have really been enjoying the Batman and Robin serial you guys riffed, so I thought maybe you guys could do Captain Marvel before he got renamed Shazaam! From clips I have seen of this one, Captain Marvel is one ******* superhero as he is played by a weightlifter so we get to watch him throw actual people across the room! Better still, he does not play around, cross him and he'll throw you off a cliff or use a machine gun to gun you down as you try to flee! Would make for a totally awesome riff!

Operation Blue Line starring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)
A 10-minute promotional VHS given out at supermarkets and the like. The Turtles shill with honor as they cross the country to LA in order to promote the LA Metro Blue Line, a rail system running from LA to Long Beach. In order to accomplish their goal, they must overcome the sinister Gridlock, a malefactor who wants to keep LA congested with traffic and smog.
Reasons this deserves a riffing:
-The Turtle costumes are pretty cheap-looking. They just look like giant versions of the original TMNT action figures and have no jaw articulation whatsoever. They make up for it by…

Z is for Zoo
Here is a vintage educational short from 1970, produced by our good friends at ACI. Though this short taking place at some zoo was made to teach young viewers to read, it starts with some rather bizarre and unsettling visuals that always made me feel weirded out, ever since I saw this short as a small child on a "Know-It-Owl" VHS tape.
To view the short, go to this link -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye1nS_sdQb8 -- and skip to 15:32.

Let's Make a Meal in 20 Minutes & Let's Make a Sandwich (1950)
"Let's Make a Meal in 20 Minutes" AND "Let's Make a Sandwich" from our friends at Simmel-Meservey, makers of the MST3K favorite "A Date with Your Family." Speaking of which, both shorts star "Daughter" from that timeless classic (and the sandwich short also features "Mother"). Both show the viewer the fun that can go into the preparation of food, no matter how unappetizing the final result is. Each short is only about 4 minutes long, so pairing them would be a good idea. And they're both public domain, to boot! Let's Make a Sandwich: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xz4SYkwSxTM

Superman The Artic giant
I think Superman the Artic giant would make for a fun riff as first it's been a while since an animated short has been riffed, secondly the premise of the short is really dumb, and finally the dinosaur looks like a Japanese Daikaiju years before they created any.

Shopping Can Be Fun (1957)
Bridget and Mary Jo have done riffs on menstruation, the suburbs, and Tupperware, so they would be perfect to riff this early tribute to the shopping mall.
It's also in the public domain.

Too Tough to Care (1964)
From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Too_Tough_to_Care
Too Tough to Care is an 18-minute educational film produced in 1964 to undermine teenage resistance to anti-smoking education.
Farley, an advertising copy writer for the fictional Finster Cigarette Company, is dismayed by the medical establishment's successful campaign to link smoking with lung cancer. It dawns on Farley that one effective way to counter this campaign would be to promote the concept of being "too tough to care" about the hazards of smoking. So he launches an advertising campaign, complete with a compelling jingle, showing men such as dynamite workers and gas workers lighting up Finster cigarettes in…

Yes the Mickey Mouse classic from 1928! It will be in public domain in several months. So what better way to honor it then riff it, back when we all loved Disney.

Round and Round
This promotional short is dopey with really clunky stop-motion. Since the site seems to have been on a bad stop-motion binge the last several months I figured I'd suggest this again.
