  2. Dangerously Close (1986)

This is not only from Cannon and not only from Albert Pyun, it's also a boring ass film with bland character with no character development who only stand around like they in a fashion model commercial. A waste of people who have or had talent before making this dullfest of a trainwreck.

  3. Jerry Pulls the Strings

A 1938 "short" film in which the grumpy owner of a coffee company refuses to let his daughter marry her sweetheart because he won't take a real job instead of playing with marionettes all day. The young man then wins him over by putting on a puppet show about the history and production of coffee. Features classic 1930s-era stereotypes and perhaps the creepiest goat puppet ever to grace the screen.

Can currently be seen on Amazon Prime in the "Puppet Movies" compilation.

  4. Fabulous Adventures of the Baron Munchausen (1979)

No, not the Terry Gilliam film—the 1979 French Cartoon. I grew up watching and loving the English version and as I became an adult, I realized how horrid this fim is. I’m just going to put the highlights here:

The animation looks like the artist was suffering a grand mal seizure, but he said “Screw the hospital—I HAVE A DEADLINE!!”

The music in this film was composed by Michel Legrand (!!!), which I assume was like Andy Kaufman starring in a film about robots.

The animator of this film wanted to be the French Walt Disney. I’m not kidding. It…

  6. Do Easy

Do Easy - "Its a way of Do-ing" ... this is just begging to be riffed. Great faces, tons of bad examples, including an example of how to zip up your pants, a guy tossing sticks while smoking, stubbing toes ... I can't believe I found this.

  8. From Chrysler: How to Go Places - 1954

    This is wonderfully campy short
It has perfect gaps in narration for riff-talking
The old fashioned ideas contrasted to todays travel would be funny

This would fit in perfectly with all the other shorts Rifftrax has riffed. :)

  9. Basic Typing Methods

I found a video on YouTube called "Basic Typing Methods". It was produced by the Navy in 1943 as a brief lesson in basic typing (hence the title).
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCpZ3CP7IAs&t=1609s
Here are my reasons: 1) I don't think the woman smiles. Ever. Even though she's won global awards for her typing, apparently. 2) Any short produced by the military in the 1940's could use a good riffing. 3) Nobody does a better job of riffing shorts than you guys.

  10. Caught in a Rip-Off (1974)

From the people who brought you "Cheating" and "Shake Hands with Danger" comes this 1974 scare film about shoplifting, entitled "Caught in a Rip-Off." Some unseen guy who sniffed one too many cans of spray paint (to paraphrase the words of one YouTube commenter) tells about how clerks in your local Hobby Lobby employ one sly tactic after another to discourage burglary. Accentuated with weird (but not atypical) 1970s Moog synthesizer musical stings, this makes for an interesting subject that is riff-worthy.

  11. "... so I took it!"

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUIwF36NTCI

This public domain short from 1975, produced by Sid Davis for Motorola (whose logo takes on a seizure-inducing calling card), tells the story of a preteen girl who is taken by the allure of shoplifting by her best friend Glenda. Generic 1970s music that sounds like it's trying to imitate an Italian song, sub-par acting from child actors, and the most unidentifiable objects taken from the apparent local K-mart are among the noticeable elements in this Sid Davis short.

  12. Tomes and Talismans

A serialized, Post-Apocalyptic library-venture brought to you by the Mississippi Public Broadcasting System! A group of kids learn about the Dewey Decimal System and Bookmobile from a librarian/freedom fighter, while trying to escape the invasion of Wipers from the Darkstar solar system. Has a very Overdrawn at the Memory bank feel.
The first episode is on youtube here: https://youtu.be/6DzzPDnIKtQ

  14. And Then It Happened

70's bus safety short, wherein all the kids are dicking around on the bus to varying degrees. Features live animals, a switchblade, and kids flying around like socks in the dryer. I didn't even ride the bus and I think it traumatized me. (https://youtu.be/dmyizLWUxtM) I remember it differently, but still.

  16. American Women - Partners in Research (Short)

    https://archive.org/details/American1960_2

Short film that epitomizes sexist behaviors of the late 50's early 60's. With Chet Huntley (!) of NBC News. Made by a company here in Buffalo, NY. I can see Bridget & Mary Jo sinking their teeth into this one. In the public domain.

  17. Paddy the Pelican Shorts

Calling these fifties-era, made-for-TV cartoon shorts cheap would be an insult to cheapness.

Apparently, they're based on a character who started out as a puppet on a Chicago-area kids' show. The black-and-white animation looks like a pencil test. The animation is nothing but endless loops over and over. One single man does every voice in the cartoon, and not only does he sound like he did his voice recording in a broom closet, the quality of his acting in general makes Tommy Wiseau sound like Sir Ian McKellen. The dialogue this "actor" is reading sounds as if he lost the…

  18. Otis (Episode One) [Interactive Movie]

There is an short movie here: https://www.nukhu.com/otis/ but with a twist: there are three character perspectives/narratives and you can switch the perspective of one of three people on the fly with the A, S, and D keys. I think this would make a great experiment for Rifftrax by splitting Mike, Kevin and Bill into the three character perspectives to riff each accordingly, maybe via a plug-in or a deal with the owner of the movie(s) (BTW, I spoke to the director/manager of the movie and he's really keen on the idea of Rifftrax riffing on them).

    The movie is not…
