  2. Newsies

There were numerous references on MST3K, so it'd be great to see the whole thing given the riff treatment!

  3. Dark Vengeance

This was part of a 'Twilight Zone' type series from the early 70s.
Dark Vengeance starred Martin Sheen and Kim Novak. He finds a wooden rocking horse that reigns terror on... Sorry, I can't keep on with a straight face.

    3 reasons

    1 - 70s idea of fashion
    2 - 70s idea of horror
3 - 70 things wrong with this movie.

  4. when time ran out

It a Irwin Allen Disaster film. This one with a Volcano.
It stars Paul Newman who it is hard to take seriously since he dressed as rind stone cowboy.

And it feature a group of characters who are so annoying that you do not care if they live or die.

  5. Farm Family in Autumn

    Hi,
I’m a big fan of Bridget and Mary Jo, especially the Farm Family series. I recently completed the set by purchasing Farm Family in Autumn and became curious about what happened to the Markham kids (Heaven’s Gate cultists? DeLorean investors? Sec. of the Interior?) That’s when I stumbled upon this interesting tidbit! Hopefully this is new to you guys. P.S.- Mary Jo, you were right! Grandpa was a fraud!

    Sincerely,
    Patrick Sandberg

  6. the intruder within

Made for tv movie from 1981 that scared me when I was 10 years old. Watched it again for the 2nd time-37 years later and was bored to learn the "alien" like creature shows up 6 minutes before the end! The scariest thing I saw this time was the cast constantly drinking coffee and never headed to the bathroom!

  7. Neverland (2003)

A dark reimagining of Peter Pan. From the Wiki:

"The award-winning film, loosely based on Barrie's work, presents the characters with a twist. It features Peter Pan as an older, androgynous teen, whereas the fairy Tinker Bell is a drugged and burnt out girl, the Lost Boys are hot guys and pot heads, the Darling children are adopted, Wendy Darling is black, Captain Hook is a gay leather man and Tiger Lily is a transvestite. The events take place in Neverland which is an amusement park in the film, rather than the imaginary island."

It stars Wil Wheaton and is…

  9. Catweazle

I'm an American/Dutch dual citizen, living in Holland for ten years and the US west coast for fifty years before that.

My Dutch husband called one of our kitties "Catweazle" this evening, and I asked him what on earth he was talking about. It turns out that "Catweazle" was a British-made children's show from the early '70s that he watched on TV as a small child.

I watched Season 1, Episode 1 of "Catweazle" (oh, I never get tired of typing that name!) on YouTube, and it was fifteen minutes of riff-worthy delight.

I had never heard of this show…

  12. Operation: Deep Freeze

Or, a history of my dating life.

Just kidding, it's a short from the '50s about Antarctica! Starring some overly adorable penguins.

  13. DRACULA 1931

The 1931 Universal horror classic is still entertaining, quite atmospheric, also with passage of time quaint and humorous. It's not like other movies because it's so old and early in the "talkie" epoch. It might even scare Mike, Kevin & Bill a little bit.

  15. One or more of the episodes of the "Walking With" documentary series

Rifftrax was at its best doing the "total riff-off" stint for National Geographic. Imagine what they would do with one of the most recognized prehistoric nature documentaries ever! Be it "Dinosaurs" or "Beasts", it would be great!

A Chinese film about a mermaid who is sent to kill the developer who is endangering her race but ends up falling in love. It's actually funny in a really horrible way.

  19. Popeye

Please riff the Robin Williams' "Popeye" movie, if possible. It has the making of a good movie, but It's just so weirdly executed, that I think it's perfect Riffbait.
